BMC look forward to welcoming Principal Consultant David Insley, along with Tony Marsh, Georgina Tyler and Tony Spears from leading systems and engineering technology company, Frazer-Nash, who will join delegates to provide an introduction to the company and its work, in addition to an opportunity to meet with three consultants, some of whom began their careers in the services.

Tony Marsh is Head of Business for Defence and Security at Frazer-Nash. He is responsible for business winning and delivery covering Aerospace, Land, Joint and Security market sectors. Tony started out as an MOD Mechanical Engineering apprentice, and worked his way up through MOD gaining a Masters Degree in Gun Systems Design along the way. Tony left MOD in 2001 and has enjoyed a number or roles within industry sector, moving from technical to business development and leadership roles as his career progressed. Tony is passionate in regard to supporting and developing technical staff in becoming consultants and “business developers” and has developed a number of training courses aimed at giving the tools, process and confidence to achieve this.

George served for 11 years in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical engineers as an Aircraft Technician but left to start a family. She is an experienced Group Leader of 12 highly qualified programme managers delivering exemplar P3M services to industry. She is a Certified Project Manager with a broad technical background in Project & Programme management, bid management and engineering management. Her extensive industry experience and knowledge is primarily within Defence but also recently Civil Nuclear.

Tony Spears is a dynamic project manager with over 20 years’ experience in the defence sector. Tony served 15 years in the British Army as an Infantry Officer before leaving to launch an Engineering Start Up supporting the Australian Defence Force in Afghanistan. More recently Tony has managed a number of large programmes in complex, Systems Engineering, environments. These programmes have ranged from C4ISTAR systems to Complex Weapons and have spanned phases in the Project Life Cycle from Concept to In-Service Support.

Tony promotes and enables communication across complex and diverse teams in matrix organisations. He focuses on enabling the team to meet and solve the inevitable challenges of such programmes through clarity of thought, energy and team spirit.
