Steve Kershaw, Head of Aerospace, Defence and Security for Price Waterhouse Management Consultants, will be talking about his personal experience of transitioning out of the armed services and providing tips and advice for success.

An ex-submariner and Royal Navy Commander, he has built up a wealth of experience in management consultancy and is now in a senior role with a big four consultancy, so it’s anticipated that delegates will be able to benefit greatly from his experience and advice.

He will touch upon such areas as his experience of applying for senior roles, how he used his network, and transitioning to the corporate world .

Steve leads PwC’s Consultancy advice on capital projects to the MoD account and specialises in advising on large scale, complex acquisition and transformation programmes. He has worked extensively across MoD, Defence industry, the security services and the telecoms industry. He also leads the portfolio and programme management competency where he is responsible for the recruitment, development and deployment of the firm’s most experienced programme managers.

Steve started his career as a weapon engineer officer in the Royal Navy serving on a number of nuclear and conventional submarines.  He then specialised in acquisition and completed his career as the above water Warfare Systems Integrated Project Team Leader responsible for the procurement and support of the Navy’s gunnery and electronic warfare systems.
